Ludger started his journey as a ski instructor in Pitztal, Tyrol, way back in 1991. After years of shredding on a snowboard, he made a glorious return to skiing in 2004, lured back by the magic of carving skis and rockered powder sticks.

Jem Rose

Jem is the original founding member of Powder Mad, a skier whose passion for the sport and love of globe trotting adventures has shaped an incredible journey.

Jamie Barrow

Jamie Barrow is the World’s Fastest Snowboarder, a 4x Guinness World Record holder, and a former Team GB snowboarder.

Britt Quinn

For 15 years, Britt crisscrossed the globe, carving out a life filled with hiking, sailing, teaching yoga, snowboarding, surfing, and chasing adventure.

Warwick is a certified mountain professional and trained first aider, armed with extensive expertise in avalanche protocol and snow science.

Misha is a full qualified IFMGA and heli-skiing guide. He is a Svaneti local and speaks English, Georgian, Russian and of course the local Svaneti language.

Dougie's mountain addiction kicked off way back in his school days, hopping onto every ski trip his parents would greenlight. But the obsession truly snowballed during the 2014/15 winter, when he plunged into his first season in Sainte Foy.

How do I become a member of Powder Mad?

I am a solo traveller, can I still go on a powder trip?

Yes absolutely, many members are also solo travellers and that is the beauty of becoming a member to link up with like-minded individuals. If you wish to have a single supplement room this also can be arranged however it does carry an small extra cost.

How do I become a contributor?

We welcome contributors to join us, and we want to hear your stories and we want to publish them. Tell the members about a particular experience, a project you are undertaking or environmental message you wish to share.
