Jem Rose

Jem Rose is the original and founding member of PowderMad, a skier whose passion for the sport and love for globe-trotting adventures have shaped his incredible journey. From the moment he discovered the thrill of skiing powder and the joys of backcountry skiing, Jem’s life was transformed.

Jem has skied across the globe, completing numerous full seasons in the French Alps, Italian Alps, Colorado, and New Zealand. He often spent back-to-back skiing seasons in both hemispheres, sometimes not even glimpsing summer. Even on a perfectly sunny August day, Jem is often immersed in planning his next skiing escapade and chasing the next powder stash.

Jem has a rich history of collaboration with various ski companies and once owned a chalet business in the French Alps. His heart beats for the extreme, and he has an enduring love for rugged and remote mountainous terrains. In 2022/23, Jem sought out the wildest ski spots, cat-skiing with members in Ukraine, heli-skiing in Georgia, and cat-skiing in North Macedonia. For the upcoming 2024/25 season, you can catch him in the French Alps, Kashmir, North Macedonia, and Georgia.

This season, Jem will be cat skiing in Turkey and on a discovery trip to Gulmarg and the wilderness of Kashmir. His adventures have been featured in *Fall Line* magazine, and he has made appearances on the *Ski Podcast*, where he recounted his epic Ukrainian cat-ski trip.
